Sunset magazine recipes speak to then and now
Sunset magazine's upcoming compilation, "The Sunset Cookbook," will showcase 1,000 recipes, many of which helped define California cuisine. Collectively, they summon a way of life that flourished in the postwar boom, when Sunset was a coffee-table staple. Recipes: Avocado Fries, Halibut Kebabs with Grilled Bread And Pancetta, Santa Maria-Style Grilled Tri-Tip and California Date Shake.
